What curious words these must have been to Eve’s ears. In fact, all of the curses, both to the man, the woman, and the serpent must have sounded peculiar and mysterious to their ears. It’s like when you hear something that you don’t understand, but you know from the looks on people’s faces and the tones of their voices, that it must be really awful.
