Abram's Father: Terah Leaves Ur

Shem was Abram’s great great great great great great great grandpa. That’s 7 greats if you were counting. And in fact, did you know that Shem was still around to see the child of promise be born? That’s Isaac! Shem was alive when Isaac was born. Now the Bible doesn’t say whether he came to the reveal party or the hospital but it’s pretty amazing. And just to take it a little further, Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah, and Eber were all alive when Abram was born. Eber even outlived him by 4 years!
