Gospel Fellowship had enjoyed a special pastoral relationship as father and son shepherded our church together, each bringing their own unique preaching style, experience, and abilities to our church body. Since retiring David Janke Sr still has a preaching ministry is excited to see how The Lord will use his son, David Janke Jr, to lead the church.
Lead Pastor - David Janke Jr.
Pastor David Jr. began alongside his dad in 2018 and was called as lead pastor in 2022. He was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Abbotsford. After receiving a B.A. in Theology in 2006, David attended two different seminaries in South Carolina and Michigan. He handles the Word of God with great care. David and his wife Allie have three children, Eden, David III and Judah. Pastor David Jr. enjoys hiking, mountain biking, his church family, and exploring with his wife and kids. Allie is an R.N. and enjoys playing the Viola, Violin, Piano and French Horn. She also serves as one of the Children’s Ministry Coordinators. David and Allie are thankful for the faithfulness of David’s parents and look forward to serving the people of the Fraser Valley.
Founding Pastor - David Janke Sr (Retired)
Pastor Janke shepherded churches in Canada for over 40 years. He is the founding pastor of Gospel Fellowship and retired in 2022. He is excited to see his son continue to lead the church family. He and his wife, Marilyn, remain active members in the church. Dave and Marilyn not only love living in the Fraser Valley but also genuinely love its people. They have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with church friends, reading, the beautiful mountains and coastal areas of BC, and being with family. Pastor Janke treasures the Word of God and is most gratified to see the church family walking in the truth.
